As a followup to my new book, When Autumn Comes, I have created this website to help educate and support hospice volunteers and anyone who serves as a companion to the dying.

About the author

For more than ten years, Mary Jo Bennett has been a dedicated, skillful and sensitive hospice volunteer attending the needs of the dying. Through her years of experience at the bedside of the dying, she has mastered the art of helping those who are making their final passage through life. She is passionate about helping all who will ultimately lose someone they love come to appreciate and respond to the needs of the dying so they can face death with peace and dignity.

Mary Jo has written a published article on death and dying. She graduated cum laude from Syracuse University in New York and now lives with her husband and two children in Bozeman, Montana, a small city rated among the top 5 “dreamtowns” in America.
